Another World

In a fleeting dream, I intercepted messages.
From another world, they sang to me.
They sang about the sea. The mighty ocean wide and deep.
I set out for the coast in the morning.

From dawn to dusk, I've waited for their call.
It's been days now.

I'm holed up in this town.
An out of season holiday.
I patrol the beach. Watch the skyline.
Sometimes I'm not sure if this is where I'm supposed to be.
There are many coastal towns, after all.

They said it would take years to travel to our galaxy.
